Description:
Calgary Alternative Residential Services (CARS) is looking for an individual to provide supports live in supports to a female client as soon as possible. The ideal individual would be open to the client moving into their own home and would ideally also have experience working with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities of this position include support with household maintenance, budgeting, safe cooking skills, safe food storage and handling, hygiene supports, health supports, and emotional supports especially related to addictions.
Required Education:
Degree/Diploma in Human Services is an asset
Required Training:
First Aid, Occupational Health and Safety, Abuse Protocol, Police Check
Experience:
2 or more years experience related to individuals with developmental disabilities
Other Required Skills:
Good communication skills both verbal and written
