Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is thrilled to celebrate the incredible partnership we have built with Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving Company. Over the past two years, this compassionate and community-minded company has generously donated their moving services for 19 CASS client moves — a gift that has made a world of difference.
CASS is dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, many of whom face significant financial challenges. For our clients, moving to a new home can be a daunting process, both logistically and financially. Often those moves happen with short timelines or under unpleasant circumstances. In the past, when professional moving services were out of reach, our dedicated CASS staff often stepped in to assist with the moves themselves. While this speaks to the commitment of our team, it also highlights the urgent need for partnerships like the one we have with Two Small Men (TSM).
Through their generosity, Two Small Men has lifted this burden, providing our clients with the dignity and ease that comes with professional moving support. Their team’s kindness and professionalism have ensured that each move is seamless, safe, and stress-free for the individuals we serve. It also frees up CASS resources to continue to do other important work. Recently, the TSM team arrived at a client move and unfortunately the items that required moving where not packed or prepared enough to be moved. They were unable to complete the move at that time, but instead of walking away from it, their team rebooked for a new time and even offered to send in a team to assist with the packing. This was above and beyond and so helpful to the client who was hospitalized at the time.
Beyond their work with CASS, Two Small Men gives back to communities across Canada in other meaningful ways. Every holiday season, they donate 101 free moves to community partners throughout the country, ensuring that individuals and community services in need can move, or deliver items, with the same care and compassion.
The partnership between CASS and TSM exemplifies the power of community. It’s a reminder that when we work together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive world for everyone.
