We need your old DVDs!
Last year in response to the covid-19 pandemic our Permanent Supportive Housing program CAPSH, which supports people who have experienced chronic homelessness, applied for a grant to purchase DVD players for the tenants they support.
This innovative idea was developed in order to meet the needs of the residents of Langin Place and Stepping Stone Manor, who suddenly found themselves needing to spend a lot more time at home, just like the rest of us.
The Calgary Homeless Foundation saw merit in the proposal and provided money to purchase one DVD player for each tenant at Langin Place and Stepping Stone Manor.
While both Langin Place and Stepping Stone Manor have developed DVD libraries for residents to share, it’s been a long 15 months and residents are in need of more variety.
Please consider helping out by de-cluttering your home and donating your old DVDs to this great cause.
We will be accepting DVDs at the CASS Main Office (2335 30th Avenue NE, Calgary AB) from May 25th to June 4th between the hours of 10am and 2pm. If those times don’t work for you, please email donations@c-a-s-s.org in order to explore alternative options.
Please note that we are only accepting DVDs, not blu-ray discs and we will not be able to provide charitable receipts.
Thank you for your help!
